Requests for Non-Sanctioned/other Events for 2009

As was done for 2008, I am asking again that as much as possible it would be nice to see these dates chosen to NOT conflict with PDGA events, but to set up a calendar for 2009, I would like to have an idea of dates and / or months for events so that solutions or work arounds can be handled to try and keep everyone as happy as possible and keep date conflicts to a minimum please.

Again please post dates in this thread, pm me and I'll post them for everyone to see.

Weeklies, monthlies, dubs, etc. belong on their respective courses thread.

p.s. I emailed the contact a while back and he said there were already 10 signed up, expecting 20+ groups? Looks like its a glow round (bring LED lights or glow discs) with best shot doubles. I'm a little confused by the "mixed" doubles format though because apparently it doesn't have to be male/female? I'm sure there is fun to be had either way though.

As a follow-up to the disc golf camp that Roswell Recreation and Parks Department is holiding July 13-15 at East Roswell Park, we're (we being the RDGC) considering hosting a juniors event on the following weekend. Since Meeks Madness is on Saturday, we're considering doing it on Sunday, July 19, instead of on Saturday, July 18. I've looked at both the sanctioned and unsanctioned calendars and haven't seen anything that should cause any conflicts, but wanted to get the idea out for others to chime in on if there are issues.

We considered the following weekend (7/25) as well, and it's even more wide open than 7/18-19, but that's because its' the weekend before Worlds, so some folks are planning to travel to KC starting on Sunday. Selfishly, I'd also prefer 7/18 because my own kids will be out of town on 7/25.

If anyone knows of any issues, please speak up. We'd probably have to keep it to one round if we do it on Sunday, as I believe RRPD has some stipulations about starting times and in any case getting kids there before noon on a Sunday may be a non-starter also.

From schedules I have looked at, it would seem that Sunday August 30th is wide open, and not really/very close to any other major events.
Could you please check on this and advise me of the situation?

Looking at the calendars, and the PDGA schedule, there don't seem to be any conflicts for this on August 15. Anything you (or anyone else) knows of that would make this a bad date? Would rather have done it before school starts back, but that doesn't seem to be possible.

Another Redan event I will miss... I realize it's tough to find an opening in the schedule, but that date, for me and some other mountain folks, sucks!

I am with D-Wiz on this one because I look for any opportunity to play redan when there are going to be plenty of people there since I have first hand experience with cars being broken into at redan. Wish I could make this but being the day after our local tourney it would be difficult. Redan and superclass would have been great! I hope to see plenty of Atlanta players at Meeks Madness on July 18th!!!!!

I know there is a conflict with the ADGO player event, but Toad is going ahead with a two-day event at the new Freedom Park DGC in Valdosta on 21-22 November.

I saw the event flyer at the course on Friday (30-Oct) and will probably play in the event. Toad, Mark and company have done a great job on this course since I first played it. Three tees on each hole, mats on all 18 for the middle (white) tees, colored ground stakes for the short (red) and long (blue) tees. All fairways have been cleared, with several new routes opened up as well.
